New Adidas Sport Recife 2014 Kits Pay Homage To Germany, Mexico and Japan

Spectacular! The Brazilian club Sport Recife will wear special Adidas National Team Kits in the upcoming weeks. The new Sport Recife Kits are paying homage to the Adidas sponsored national teams, who will play in Recife during the 2014 World Cup: Germany, Mexico and Japan

Each kit features the lettering "Welcome" in the respective language of the country on the front as well as the national flag. The new National Team inspired kits are part of the new campaign to welcome every team playing in Recife, while it should also strengthen the publicity of Sport Recife, the biggest club in the city.

Unlike several other 2014 World Cup marketing kit campaigns, including yellow shirts for five Brazilian Nike sponsored clubs (Corinthians, Internacional, Santos, Coritiba and Bahia) and green shirts for four Mexican Nike clubs, the new Sport Recife Kits feature a similar kit design as the shirts of Germany, Japan and Mexico (Each Adidas sponsored nation plying in Recife during the 2014 World Cup).

New Adidas Sport Recife National Team Shirt

The new Germany Sport Recife Kit comes with the traditional German kit combination: A white shirt and white socks, while black shorts complete the look of the new Sport Recife Germany Kit. While Germany will play with all white kits during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the new Sport Recife Germany inspired kit features traditional black shorts and a more classical kit design than the actual Germany kit.

Supporters of the German National Team, who criticized Adidas for the dark red- red - light red v design on the front and the all-white kit, would have preferred the new Sport Recife 2014 Germany inspired design instead of the actual new Germany 2014 World Cup Home Kit.

Like the Germany Sport Recife 2014 Kit, the new Mexico inspired Sport Recife 2014 Jersey comes with the traditional simple kit design of the country. A green shirt is combined with white shorts and red socks. The new Mexico 2014 World Cup Home Kit was criticized for the unique but not traditional design on the front.

The new Sport Recife Japan inspired Shirt is based on the yellow Japan 2014 World Cup Away Kit, while the kit comes with black three Adidas stripes and black shorts and socks. The shirt comes with the Japanese flag and the Japanese lettering "Welcome" on the front of the kit.

Today's release marks the begin of the partnership between Adidas and Sport Recife, who just signed a kit contract earlier this year. The new national team inspired kit will be worn for the first time in the first league match of the season, against Santos on April 20. The normal, traditional Adidas Sport Recife 2014 Kits will be unveiled in mid-May ahead of the match against Corinthians on May 25.
