New White Spain 2014 World Cup Third Kit

New Spain 2014 World Cup Third Kit - Adidas yesterday confirmed that Spain would play with an all-white kit against Netherlands. News broke in Spain suggesting that FIFA was unhappy with the red and black Spain 2014 Home and Away Shirts the Spanish federation and Adidas had registered for the 2014 World Cup back in January.

FIFA had asked all 32 participating 2014 World Cup teams to prepare two very distinguishable shirts, one predominantly dark and the other light-colored. Apparently, Spain's red 2014 World Cup Home Shirt and the black Away Shirt didn't meet these criteria, as a result the international football federation have asked Spain and Adidas to carry a white shirt for the group match against Netherlands.

Following this case and the strict interpretation of the rules by FIFA, we could see more not yet unveiled shirts in the 2014 World Cup starting next month. Cameroon, in a friendly yesterday, already wore an unknown white kit, which could possibly have been requested for the match against Mexico in Brazil.

This is the new Spain 2014 Third Shirt, for the match against the Netherlands.

The new Spain 2014 Third Jersey is based on the same base template as the Spain 2014 Home Kit, just with white as main color. The Spain 2014 Third Kit has a red Adidas logo and stripes, features the 2010 World Cup winners badge on the right chest and is expected to be used with red numbers and lettering.

Adidas, Spain's equipment supplier, said Thursday that "FIFA has expressly mandated" it to supply Spain with white jerseys for the defending champions' opener against the Dutch on June 13. The shorts and socks of the new Spain 2014 World Cup Third Kit are white with red accents.

While Spain will play with the all-white kit, Netherlands will play with the dark blue 2014 World Cup Away Kit.
