Real Madrid v FC Barcelona - El Clasico Boot Preview

Tomorrow the biggest match in club football will be played in Madrid between 3rd placed Real Madrid and current leaders FC Barcelona, who are four points ahead.

While both teams are in great form, Madrid might see themselves as favourites after a convincing 3-0 away win against Liverpool in midweek Champions League. Madrid are still missing Gareth Bale from injury in this match, though, while Barcelona can for the first time this season rely on the services of Uruguayan attacker Luis Suárez following his four-month ban.

We bring you this extensive preview of the Real Madrid vs Barcelona Football Boots together with Football Boots DB.

Real Madrid Clasico Boot Lineup

This is Real Madrid's lineup for the Clasico against FC Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo is set to debut his brand new black Nike Mercurial Superfly Gala Boots. Nike created a totally new and unexpected way to look at black with a shimmering effect for a classic boot color. Few years ago, players stood out on the pitch wearing colorful boots. With a unique Gala Glimmer Effect for the new black Nike Mercurial Superfly Cleats, Cristiano Ronaldo will stand under the lights of the Santiago Bernabéu.

After two matches with the Adidas F50 Adizero Crazylight Boots, James Rodríguez returned to training wearing the normal Pink Adidas F50 Adizero Cleat paint job. Benzema seems to enjoy his crazy Adidas F50 Adizero Yamamoto Shoes and is expected to lace up in the unique boots against Barcelona, while Toni Kroos still wears the white Adidas Adipure 11pro Cleats. Other Adidas players are Marcelo and Iker Casillas.

Luka Modrić (Nike Mercurial Vapor X), Isco (Nike Hypervenom), Dani Carvajal (Nike Tiempo) and Sergio Ramos lace up in the latest Nike Football Fall 2014 Colorway. Cristiano Ronaldo is the only Real Madrid player wearing a mid-cut boot design, while Pepe will wear Umbro Speciali Cleats.

Barcelona Clasico Boot Lineup

This is the Barcelona Boot Lineup for the Clasico match against Real Madrid.

The Barcelona Boot Lineup is completely dominated by Adidas and Nike, with all eleven players lacing up in one of the two main brands. In our expected lineup five players are wearing Adidas football boots, five players Nike, plus Dani Alves, who's wearing blacked-out boots.

Claudio Bravo, who is yet to concede a goal in eight La Liga matches will wear Adidas Predator Instinct cleats, while Jérémy Mathieu and Jordi Alba, making up the left side of defence are also wearing Adidas boots, Nitrocharge and Adizero, respectively. Interestingly, Alba has been switching different boots a lot lately, following reported blister problems. Lately he was seen wearing a black-blue-orange leather Adidas F50 Adizero colorway.

The most interesting boot choice is Dani Alves' probably, who lately has been switching between all sorts of different black-out boots from both Adidas and Nike. Javier Mascherano is a fully expected starter, be it in midfield or defence, and will again wear the World Cup Magista Opus boots.

Many pundits agree that having control over the midfield will be crucial in tomorrow's match and Sergio Busquets' return from injury is a big relief for Barcelona in that regard. Busquets continues to wear the lower-tier Nike Magista Opus, contrary to boot-face Andrés Iniesta, who's wearing the high-top Obra version and will start on the left side midfield or as an extra midfielder, if Predator Instict man Xavi is brought in. Also wearing the newest Predators, Ivan Rakitić will look to help Dani Alves on the right side in defence, while also trying to get into goalscoring positions himself.

In the front-line we will see Lionel Messi revert to the yellow 'Liga' colorway of his trademark Adidas F50 Adizero boots. Neymar will, and Pedro could, start alongside him in Nike Hypervenoms, while Luis Suárez will wear the blue-pink Adidas F50 Adizero colorway.
