Adidas Dominates Manchester United Boots

As Adidas return to produce the Manchester United shirts after so many years, the German brand looks to make an on-pitch impact at Old Trafford as well, dominating the expected Manchester United boot XI for the new season.

Manchester United 15-16 Boot Lineup

This is how Manchester United lined up during most pre-season matches.

Manchester United could well field a lineup with no less than eight Adidas players in the first Premier League match of the season against Tottenham Hotspur. Both Bastian Schweinsteiger (Adidas X) and Morgan Schneiderlin (Adidas Ace) joined the Red Devils this summer, while David De Gea made his long-anticipated move from Nike to the Three Stripes as well.

Matteo Darmian (Nike Tiempo) and Memphis Depay (Under Armour Speedform), two more new transfers, aren't Adidas players, but still Nike and Under Armour only supply three players of our predicted Man United lineup.

Looking at football boot models, both new Adidas models Ace and X are split even, with Daley Blind and Bastian Schweinsteiger opting fore the k-leather variant, respectively. Bastian Schweinsteiger's cleats are interesting in particular, as they are more or less just camouflaged Adidas F50 Adizero boots.

Manchester United 15-16 Boot Brands

Concerning the whole Manchester United squad, Nike still has the most players under contract with 46.7%, followed by Adidas with 43.3%. Nevertheless, on-pitch is what counts and Adidas is set grab all the attention at Manchester United this season.
