Fernandinho Makes Nike Switch

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has made the switch from Adidas to Nike. It's the first time that Fernandinho has worn Nike boots after he has spent his entire career with the Three Stripes.

Fernandinho Joins Nike

Fernandinho has joined the Swoosh to sport the Nike Magista Obra football boot.

Fernandinho had been an Adidas player for his whole career, wearing both Adidas Predator and, later on, Adidas 11pro cleats.

Earlier this year, the Brazilian defensive midfielder started to wear partly blacked-out Adidas 11pro boots, fueling speculation about whether his Adidas contract was up. He later returned to the regular 11pro colorways, and even switched to the all-new Adidas Ace 15 boots for the Copa America.

In the first matches of the Premier League season against West Bromwich Albion and Chelsea, Fernandinho entered the field wearing turquoise Nike Magista Obra boots from the Nike Lighting Storm Pack, strongly indicating that he has signed a contract with Nike, although nothing has been officially communicated yet.
