10 Classy Champions League Kit and Boot Combinations

Football Kits are rarely designed to match the colors of the boots. And while Adidas and Nike designed their 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Boots and Kits to create a seamless transition between the uniform and the cleats with gradient socks, it's completely random if a club kit matches the colors of the boots.

While there were many kit and boot combinations in the Matchday 2 of the 2015-16 UEFA Champions League that were anything but classy, we've picked up 9 great combinations of football kits and boots while featuring one boot that hardly matches any kit design.

UEFA Champions League Kit and Boot Combos

Thomas Müller x Red Adidas X 15.1 Leather

Let's kick-off with one of the best kit and boot combos. FC Bayern Munich's 15-16 Home Kit features two tones of red to honor the famous nickname 'Die Roten' (that translates to 'The Reds'). In combination with the all-new Solar Red Adidas X 2015-2016 Leather Boots worn by German international Thomas Müller, it's only the slightly brighter color of the cleat that disrupts an almost perfect outfit.

Feghouli x Adidas Ace 15.1 Women's

We already featured Feghouli's special boot choice some weeks ago when the Valencia midfielder became the first player to wear the Women's version of the Adidas Ace Cleats. But that combination of Valencia's orange third kit, which was carried over from last season, and Feghouli's Boots couldn't be absent from our list.

Dante x Puma evoPOWER Tricks

We know that this it anything but a great combination. The striking green socks of VfL Wolfsburg's Kit, which were chosen instead of the usual white home kit socks to avoid a clash with Man Utd's Kit, in combination with the blue and orange Puma evoPOWER 2015-2016 Soccer Cleats looked odd. Even the photographer decided to take some close-up pictures of Dante's Boots. And that's rather unusual.

Granit Xhaka x Under Armour Speedform Leather

It's definitely the most classic look. Borussia Mönchengladbach's midfielder Granit Xhaka, who never wears anything else but black cleats, laced up in the black and white Under Armour Speedform Leather Boots which perfectly match Gladbach's 15-16 Champions League Kit.

Kevin de Bruyne x Nike Mercurial Superfly Electro Flare

There are two aspects that connect Kevin de Bruyne's Nike Mercurial Superfly Boots and Manchester City's 15-16 Third Kit. First: Even though the colors of the kits and the boots are not identical, the splatter graphic upper pattern is quite similar to the gradient design of the shorts. Second: The Volt accent color of the boots in combination with the Green Glow Shirt.

We could have chosen any Man City players wearing the Electro Flare Pack Boots, and Zabaleta's Black and Volt Nike Tiempo made likely an even better combo. But he was just subbed on in extra-time and had no ball contact at all..

Bilal Kisa x Adidas Nitrocharge

Bilal Kisa scored the first goal for Galatasaray against Astana wearing the old Adidas Nitrocharge Soccer Cleats, which were discontinued in May 2015 to make space for the all-new Adidas Ace and X Boots. That fact makes this combination something special.

Joshua Brenet x Nike Magista Obra Lightning Storm

It was the first time that PSV Eindhoven wore their stylish light blue and white European Kit. And as Joshua Brenet hasn't switched to the new Nike Electro Flare Pack Boots yet, his light blue Nike Magista Cleats matched the shirt almost perfectly.

Joe Hart x Nike Hypervenom Phantom

It was definitely the boldest kit and boot combo. Joe Hart laced up in the Hyper Grape Nike Hypervenom Phantom Boots of the Nike Electro Flare Pack Boots Collection while wearing Man City's purple goalkeeper shirt. He even got matching gloves to create a perfect boot and kit combo.

Jose Antonio Reyes x Red Adidas X

That combination was quite a surprise. Sevilla entered the pitch wearing a never-seen-before red fourth kit to avoid a kit clash with Juventus' white and black home shirt, and Reyes just got the perfect boots to match the special kit.

Nicklas Perdersen x Yellow Adidas X

We won't see these boots so frequent anymore. Gent's Danish forward Nicklas Pedersen laced up in the Solar Yellow Adidas X Boots while almost all high-profile Adidas athletes already switched to the Solar Red Adidas X 15-16 Boot Colorway. Pedersen's Boots are a perfect match with Gent's fluorescent yellow away shirt.

Special Mention - AS Roma 15-16 Third Kit

AS Roma's brand-new grey and black 15-16 Third Kit did not match any of the colorful boots made by Adidas and Nike. For use, it's time for the return of classic black boots, but there won't be any worn by high-profile players at least until the start of the 2016-17 season.

Some combinations are pure class. What's your favorite boot and kit combo? Let us know in the comments section below.
