New Study Reveals 10 Best-Selling 16-17 Jerseys

A new report on the best-selling football jerseys has been revealed, this time by retailer Kitbag and including not just teams from the Premier League, but all club teams.

10 Best-Selling 2016-17 Jerseys

1 - Zlatan Ibrahimovic

2 - Lionel Messi

3 - Cristiano Ronaldo

4 - Paul Pogba

5 - Neymar

6 - Gareth Bale

7 - Luis Suárez

8 - Sergio Agüero

9 - Anthony Martial

10 - Kevin De Bruyne

Once again a Manchester United player tops the list, although here it is Zlatan Ibrahimovic instead of Paul Pogba. The Frenchman is on fourth place, behind only Zlatan, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Interestingly, two more Barcelona players (Neymar and Suárez) and another Real Madrid player enter the ranking, making it five La Liga players - and that on a UK site.

Sergio Agüero, Anthony Martial and Kevin De Bruyne complete the list which includes no Arsenal or Liverpool players.

Why are the results so much different from the other study?

One can't help to notice the great differences between the results found in this study and the those from the one we posted about last Friday. First off, it has to be taken into account that both studies only take sales of one retailer each into account. Factors such as prices and availability could also contribute to the results.

Lastly, the weak pound could have contributed into more mainland Europeans buying their football jerseys through UK-based retailers, skewing the numbers towards international teams.

Unfortunately, no closer details were revealed by either study.

Evenly split between La Liga and Premier League. Share your thoughts on the ranking below.
