Barcelona 17-18 Away Kit Released

The Barcelona 17-18 away kit introduces a new look for the club, combining a sky blue base with the traditional blue and red. Made by Nike and featuring Rakuten as sponsor for the very first time, the Barcelona 2017-18 away shirt was released on June 29.

The Barcelona 2017-2018 away kit is sky blue. In fact, the color of the Barcelona 17-18 away jersey, as you can see above, is quite similar to that of this last season's Barcelona third kit. Although it's just a bit more into the blue than the teal hues, it's safe to assume that the full impression given by the 2017-18 Barcelona away shirt will be pretty distinct.

This is because instead of bright green and black, the blue base of the Barcelona 2017-2018 away jersey gets paired with the club's principal colors, blue and red, which are used for the lateral insets, striping around the back neck and the Nike logo on the left chest.

Template-wise, the Barcelona 2017-18 away jersey is based on the same template as the new PSG change top, and, more broadly on the second iteration of Nike's Vapor template with Aeroswift technology.

Both shorts and socks of the Barcelona 17-18 away kit are turquoise, with the former featuring red and blue panels on the left and right side, respectively.

Generally speaking, teal or sky blue is a color that has proven popular for Barcelona away or change uniforms. Not only the last Barcelona third jersey, but also the 2010-11 away and more than a couple in the 1990s have prominently featured such colors.
