Happy Birthday, Mats | Here Is Hummels' Full Boot History

Mats Hummels, Germany international and 2014 World Cup champion, celebrates his birthday today. We take a look at the boots worn by a player who played for two clubs in his professional career wearing boots from only one brand.

First Years as Professional - Adidas Predator

Mats Hummels joined Borussia Dortmund in 2008.

Hummels, a product of Bayern München's youth system, just made one official match for the first team of Bayern Munich and subsequently joined Borussia Dortmund, where he made not less than 225 matches. In most of them he wore Adidas' Predator soccer cleats, while he switched boot silos after Adidas discontinued the Predator in 2015.

Adidas Ace Switch

Mets Hummels joined Bayern München this season.

When Adidas launched the all-new Adidas Ace silo in 2015, Mats Hummels switched from the iconic Predator, which he had worn his entire career before, to the Adidas Ace. He currently laces up in the Stellar Pack Adidas Ace 16.1 Primeknit boots, while he also used the leather version of Adidas' control football boot before.
