Ajax, who won the first league match after the winter break against Zwolle last weekend, caught our attention as they used an old ball in training yesterday. Find out what it is all about.

Launched in 2010 after the World Cup in South Africa, the ball used by Ajax due to the weather conditions is the winter edition of the Adidas 2010-11 Europa League soccer ball, officially called Adidas UEFA Europa League PowerOrange Winter Ball. The reason why Ajax used the ball is almost certain that they did not get the orange winter version of the new Adidas Krasava football by Adidas yet.

However, Ajax only used the ball shortly and soon changed back to the Adidas Krasava football, which features much better flight characteristics than the old, often criticized ball.
