Cherrelle Albert, who usually laces up in Nike Magista Obra and Nike Tiempo Legend football boots, decided to put on the first-ever Nike Mercurial Vapor soccer cleat. Released in 2002, the Nike Mercurial Vapor was engineered for full speed with from glue to stitching thread was weighed in order to remove excess weigh.

Interestingly, the boot was the first-ever Nike soccer cleat which received an exclusive version specifically made for Womens - the Nike Mercurial Vapor 2003 Women's boot. Cherrelle Albert, however, laced up in the launch Men's version of the speed cleats.
