Tottenham Hotspur Extend AIA Kit Deal

Tottenham Hotspur yesterday announced that they have extended their shirt sponsorship deal with insurance group AIA for five more years until the end of the 2021-22 season. The original agreement with AIA, whose headquarters is in Hong Kong, was worth about £16million annually to Spurs and this new move is thought to have brought an increase on that sum.

Tottenham's new 2017-2018 Nike kit is set to be released in early July 2017.

The announcement was made during the post-season tour to Hong Kong, home to AIA Group's Headquarters and a key market for the AIA brand and business.

Tottenham are still seeking a naming rights deal for their new stadium, in which they will play from the 2018-19 campaign. Spurs will play home fixtures at Wembley for at least one campaign.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said: "The renewed partnership with AIA comes at a significant time in the club's history, with a new world-class stadium currently under construction. We will look to further support the objectives of both organisations in the Asia-Pacific region."

Ng Keng Hooi, AIA Group Chief Executive & President Designate, commented: "Spurs has an enormous following in Asia, with its fans rewarded by the great progress the team has made on the pitch in recent years. Expanding our partnership with Spurs will enable more frequent and innovative activities for our customers, agents, employees, as well as others in our local communities, to interact with the Spurs players, coaching and support staff on the ground in Asia."
