Energie Cottbus 17-18 Home Kit Released

Small German sportswear brand Jako recently announced a new partnership with former Bundesliga club Energie Cottbus and revealed the club's new home kit for the 2017-2018 season. Cottbus already had been wearing Jako kits from 1996 to 2006, while the new contract with the German fourth division team is valid for three years until the end of the 2019-20 season.

The new Energie Cottbus 2017-2018 home kit is reminiscent to the kit Cottbus wore in the DFB Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart in 1997. Interestingly, Energie Cottbus will face VfB Stuttgart in the first round of the 2017-18 DFB Pokal wearing their new 1997-DFB Pokal final inspired home jersey.

Reproducing the look of the Energie Cottbus 1996-97 German Cup final kit, the new Cottbus 17-18 home kit boasts red and blue vertical stripes. It comes with a classical white Polo collar and features shirt sponsor Karton.eu on the front.

The shorts of the new Jako Cottbus 17-18 home kit are blue with a red-white-red horizontal stripe, just as the 1996-97 shirt.
