Having only just announced their deal, Athletic Bilbao and New Balance today released their first-ever set of kits. The New Balance Athletic Bilbao 2017-2018 jerseys introduce bespoke designs and were revealed under the club's “Unique in the World’ (‘Bakarrak Munduan’) campaign.
Athletic Bilbao 17-18 Home Kit
This is the new Athletic Club 2017-2018 Home shirt.
The Athletic Bilbao 17-18 Home kit features the club's traditional red and white stripes, black applications and a traditional white flat knit rib collar.
The Ikurriña flag, synonymous with the Basque region, is printed on the upper back of the Athletic Club 2017-2018 Home jersey.
Black shorts and red socks complete the new Athletic Bilbao 2017-18 kit by New Balance.
Athletic Bilbao 2017-18 Away Jersey
This is the new Athletic Bilbao 17-18 Away kit.
The new New Balance Athletic Club 2017-2018 Away shirt is black with white and red applications, inspired by the shirts worn by the great Athletic Bilbao teams of the 1940s. The sleeve cuffs of the new Bilbao 2017-2018 Away kit also come with red and white details.
The kit is completed with grey shorts and black socks.
Athletic Bilbao 2017-2018 Third Kit
This is the new New Balance Athletic Bilbao Third kit.
The most outstanding kit of the collection, the New Balance Athletic Bilbao 2017-18 Third kit is blue with a big red-white-red stripe running down the center of the shirt, a design inspired by the shirt worn when the club worn the first Copa title in 1903.
The shorts and socks are blue and white, respectively.

Nike has officially confirmed the upcoming release of the highly anticipated, special-edition signature boot for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the American sportswear giant will launch a spectacular all-gold Mercurial specifically designed for the Portuguese superstar. This exclusive release is scheduled to drop just before Portugal kicks off their opening group-stage match.
The decision to equip the forward in a striking all-gold colorway is a deliberate and symbolic tribute by the brand's design team. Speaking on the upcoming launch to The Athletic, Nike representative Odinga Nimako, a senior figure at Nike’s global football footwear team, explained the specific reasoning behind the glamorous aesthetic. "The fact that Ronaldo is playing his sixth World Cup, we wanted to celebrate the legacy he has set and the way he continues to add to his legacy," Nimako stated. "And there is no better color than gold to help do that."
It remains to be see if Cristiano Ronaldo will wear the golden boots in a match - we expect him to wear them in training only.
