Original article - 8 August 2017English newspaper The Mirror reports that Arsenal are considering a mega-money kit swap, with Adidas in pole position to replace Puma. Arsenal signed a £30million-a-year deal with Puma in 2014 for five years until 2019, but that figure has been dwarfed by their rivals such as Chelsea and Manchester United since then.

Adidas have lost Chelsea to Nike, who also added Tottenham to a stable of English sides already including Manchester City. The Three Stripes currently just have three Premier League clubs under contract (Manchester United, West Bromwich, Watford).

Arsenal To Buy Themselves Out Of Puma Deal?

Arsenal's deal with Puma is still having two years left to run, but the Gunners are nevertheless already looking for new kit supplier as Arsenal's deal with Puma is much worse than the deals of Chelsea, Manchester United and other clubs. In fact, Mirror Football understands that club officials are indeed already eyeing a switch that would double the current deal and would get them back on the same level as their rivals.

The Mirror also reports that 'there is a possibility that Arsenal could do something similar as Chelsea, who bought themselves out of their contract with Adidas to switch to Nike ahead of the new campaign (if the figures add up). Chelsea paid 67 million pounds to end their long-term apparel deal with Adidas ahead of schedule.

Puma do have a right to renegotiate with Arsenal first, however.
