Joma Steals Nike Mercurial Superfly V Boots With First-Ever High-Cut Football Boots

Spanish brand Joma, who are well-known for their high-quality futsal boots, this month released their first-ever high-cut soccer shoe. And unlike the brand's futsal shoes, the new Joma Champion 2017-2018 soccer cleat is a clear copy of a Nike boot.

Joma Champion Max Football Boots - Black / White

This is the brand-new Joma Champion Max soccer cleat.

A high-cut design, the new Joma Champion May football boot features a collar and tongue-less design (called Sock System) that is extremely similar to the Dynamic Fit collar of the Nike Mercurial Superfly 5 football boots. The boot comes with a Speed ribs-esque 3D texture on the upper. The Flyknit speed rib 3D texture is something like the trademark feature of the Nike Mercurial Superfly 5, presented by Nike in March 2016.

Interestingly, it is nothing all-new that Joma copies other brand as the first generation of the Joma Champion football boots (released one year ago) is a copy of the Adidas X football boots. In fact, the 'second-gen' Joma Champion Max comes with the same sole plate as the first-gen Joma Champion and is a copy of the Adidas X.

According to Joma, the next-generation Joma Champion Max has been "revamped outside, as well as inside". They would be "lighter, with a better fit, they feel like a sock." The brand describes the boots as "Joma's most modern boot design".
