Antonio Rüdiger's Shocking Nike Tiempo Injury Pictures
Following Chelsea's midweek win over Swansea, to which he contributed a gold, Chelsea's Antonio Rüdiger and teammate Michy Batshuayi shared pictures of an odd injury the German defender sustained during the game. A big thank you goes to everyone who shared this story, including @raull.11 over on Instagram!
On the pictures we can see Antonio Rüdiger's left boot, a Nike Tiempo Legend VII, and foot, with the former showing a triangular hole in the forefoot area, likely the result of a Swansea player stepping onto it. The stud went also right through Rüdiger's socks and caused damage to his foot.
Captioned "nike what is this??", the pictures aren't great for the brand which has had to deal with a fair amount of criticism regarding the durability of its boots and the Tiempo in particular.
Thankfully, Rüdiger was able to complete the game, although the match pictures suggest that the injury only happened after the 55th minute goal he scored to sink the Welsh club.
Would this have happened with a good old-fashioned boot? Has anything like this happened to you or one of your teammates? Drop us a line below.

The release highlights the German brand's continuing strategy of mining its extensive design archives to create bespoke, off-pitch apparel for its top-tier federations.
The Adidas Italy EQT collection boasts striking green, white and red geometric blocks, creating 3 stripes.
Adding heavily to the nostalgic appeal, the chest displays a centralized logo arrangement, featuring a classic Adidas wordmark and Trefoil paired with a faithful recreation of the historic Italian Football Federation crest used throughout the early 1990s.
Other Adidas federations will get the same range in their colors.
Figueirense 26-27 Home Kit Released
Brazilian Série C side Figueirense has officially unveiled its new home jersey for the 2026-2027 season, produced by domestic technical partner Volt Sport. The new primary uniform directly follows the recent release of the club's away kit and serves as a major part of the team's ongoing celebrations to mark the 105th anniversary of their founding in 1921.
The Figueirense 26-27 home shirt remains deeply rooted in tradition, featuring the club's classic black and white vertical stripes. However, Volt Sport has elevated the historic aesthetic by deeply embossing the black stripes with commemorative elements that honor the club's 105-year history. The heavily detailed body is framed by solid black sleeves and a matching black block on the back for player numbering. The look is completed by a classic black polo collar and sleeve cuffs, both of which are detailed with ribbed white striping.
Further custom details are integrated throughout the garment, including the phrase "Avante Figueirense, pra frente Furacão" printed along the inner hem.
In a final nod to the milestone year, a special 105th-anniversary seal is applied to the lower right corner of the shirt.

Shamrock Rovers 2026 Third Kit Released
Irish champions Shamrock Rovers have officially unveiled their new third kit for the 2026 League of Ireland season, completing their matchday lineup following the earlier releases of their home and away strips. Produced by technical partner Macron, the latest design injects a bold, contemporary aesthetic into the Dublin-based club's apparel, specifically drawing on streetwear influences and urban styling to create a vibrant alternative look.
The new Shamrock Rovers 2026 third shirt utilizes a bright yellow base, which is immediately broken up by an intricate, sublimated geometric graphic. This dynamic pattern is composed of diagonal and vertical green and black bands featuring broken lines and a distinct paintbrush effect, giving the garment a highly textured and energetic appearance. The striking yellow foundation is smartly framed by an asymmetrical green and black crew-neck collar, with matching knitted sleeve cuffs providing visual continuity.
The new third kit will be worn for the first time during the Rovers' away fixture against Dundalk on Friday night.
