However, while the Nike Mercurial 2018 football boot seems to be available only as SG-Pro Anti-Clog version (featuring a completely different sole plate), Nike players such as Cristiano Ronaldo & Neymar have received a Mercurial 2018 football boot with a 'standard' SG-Pro

sole plate.

Nike this month released the all-new Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 & Nike Mercurial Vapor 360 football boots. The Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 and Mercurial Vapor 360 wrap the entire foot in Nike Flyknit, eliminating the sole plate altogether. We take a look at the AG-Pro & FG versions of the next-generation Nike Mercurial 2018 football boots.

"This (The Mercurial Superfly 360 and Mercurial Vapor 360 wrap the entire foot in Nike Flyknit) new innovation hugs the foot and eliminates the gaps between the foot and the soleplate. In fact, it eliminates the soleplate altogether," explains Max Blau, VP of Nike Football Footwear.

The traction of the next-generation Nike Mercurial 360 2018 soccer cleats is provided by precisely placed studs in the forefoot and heel. The FG version of the next-generation Nike Mercurial comes with seven aggressive-placed triangular studs in the front area (built for acceleration in any direction) and four triangular studs (help the player stop on a dime) in the rear area.

The AG-Pro version of the next-generation Nike Mercurial Superfly & Vapor 360 2018 soccer cleats comes with conical, relatively short studs in the front area instead of triangular studs, designed to be used on artificial-grass (AG). The rear area also features two conical AG-Pro studs. In total, the cleat just comes with three triangular studs and ten conical AG-Pro studs.

The Nike Mercurial Superfly & Vapor AG-Pro cleats are set to be available from February 26.
