Players wearing blackout boots is often the first indicator of an impending brand switch, and it's no different this time.

As many of his peers recently, it's Puma that's about to pick up Maguire. We've gotten word and pictures that prove that Maguire has sent in eight pairs of boots from the brand to be blacked-out as he prepares to make the switch.

Interestingly, the SKU shown on the Puma box is a players-exclusive one, called 'Classic Cut FG/AG'. Although it's based on the Puma ONE 5.1, it's not available to buy publicly and was sent to the player directly by Puma. On the second picture we can clearly see that a SG variant of the boots exists as well. The boots were personalized for Maguire, featuring his initials on the outside and the English flag on the instep.

Albeit Maguire was pictured wearing the regular Tiempo 8 in the black-and-blue debut colorway in England training this week, we expect him to make the switch to blackout Puma boots shortly. If everything goes as planned, he'll officially join Puma shortly afterwards.

As per a report in the Sun a couple of weeks ago, the deal between Nike and Maguire expired earlier this summer. Nike, Adidas, Puma and Under Armour are said to have all offered the player a massive contract, worth £700,000 a season. Everything indicates that Puma is the most likely option at this point.
