Newcastle United 22-23 Home Kit Features Unfitting Red Premier League Numbers
Newcastle United have played their first pre-season matches wearing their new Castore 2022-2023 home kit. And as expected, it did feature unfitting numbers.
Newcastle did not release a custom typeface for the 2022-23 season yet. They did wear the Premier League numbers in their first pre-season friendlies. Newcastle did not release a cup typeface last season but also wore the Premier League typeface in the FA Cup & League Cup.
Newcastle United Choose Red - Premier League Typeface Just Offered In 5 Colors
Newcastle United were forced to choose between five colors for the Premier League typeface. - white/black, black/white, red/white, hi-vis yellow/white & navy-blue/white. Just as in previous seasons, Newcastle opted for the red/white colorway.
La Liga, Ligue 1 & Serie A teams have custom colors for streamlined typeface
We imagined how the Newcastle United 2022-2023 home kit would look with fitting electric blue Premier League numbers.
There are various other kits in the 2022-23 Premier League that would look better with a fitting typeface. For example, Arsenal could have a gold typeface with their black & gold 22-23 away kit but have to use white.
Other leagues with a streamlined font like the La Liga, Ligue 1, MLS, Serie A, and La Liga allow teams to recolor the typeface to match the kit.
