Atlanta United 2023 Home Kit Released

Atlanta United's new 2023 home kit was released today. Called "The 17s' kits", the Atlanta United 2023 home kit is made by Adidas and will be worn in the next two MLS campaigns.

The 17s Atlanta United 2023 home kit is a homage to the club’s supporters, who are known as the "17s"

The 17s' Kit is dedicated to the club’s supporters, which are known as "17s." The number 17 symbolizes Atlanta United’s inaugural 2017 season and was reserved for supporters ahead of the club’s maiden campaign, never to be worn by an Atlanta United player.

Clearly inspired by the first-ever home kit from 2017, the Adidas Atlanta United 2023 home shirt returns to five classic stripes on the front, 2 black and 3 red. This is a slight difference from the 2017 design, which had the opposite arrangement.

The back of Atlanta's new jersey is solid red, while gold details like the logos and collar piping complete the club's typical color scheme.

A nice touch is the 'UN17ED' print in gold on the back of the collar, which represents Atlanta United's inaugural MLS season, with the '17' outlined by a map of Georgia. The jock tag echoes the supporters' chant of "We are the A".

Black shorts and socks complete the new Adidas Atlanta United 2023 kit.

"We are proud to present The 17s’ Kit, which is dedicated to our loyal supporters who have stood by the club from day one," Atlanta United President and CEO Garth Lagerwey said. "This kit is reminiscent of Atlanta United’s original primary kit, which we know holds a deep meaning with our supporters and still stands as a symbol of the club’s success. Our hope is that The 17s’ Kit is worn during many more unforgettable nights at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and will establish a legacy of its own."

Atlanta United's 2023 home kit launched on 15 February 2023. On the same day, Atlanta United face Deportivo Toluca F.C. of Mexico’s Liga MX in the 2023 American Family Insurance Cup and debut the kit.
