Manchester City Keeper Ederson Wears White Crystal Palace Away Socks, Covers Macron Logos

Man City goalkeeper Ederson caused a stir on social media after sporting Crystal Palace's away socks during their recent Premier League game. Let us find out why and get a closer look at the socks, which reveal some interesting details.

Man City Keeper Ederson Wears White Crystal Palace Away Socks, Tapes Over Macron Logo

The Brazilian stopper was forced to wear the white Crystal Palace 22-23 away kit socks as Man City's goalkeeper kit includes blue socks, which would've clashed with Palace's home socks.

In fact, the whole choice of a blue keeper kit for Ederson was bad and made no sense. The blue clashed with Crystal Palace's blue and maroon home kit, and Ederson's shorts clashed with Palace's shorts.

Oddly, Manchester City apparently did not have any non-clashing keeper kits - their maroon, orange, and blue keeper kits all clashed a bit with the player shirts. The better choice possibly would have been the orange keeper kit.

Palace keeper Vicente Guaita wore a pinkish maroon kit, which was also nit optimal with Palace's home kit.

Despite the circumstances, Ederson still managed to alter the socks a bit, giving no free advertisement to Macron. As seen when zooming in, Ederson taped over the blue Macron logo that is usually on the front. He did also use a tremendous amount of white tape but did not cover the blue and red detailing on the top.

Despite the unusual choice of attire, Ederson kept a clean sheet as Man City secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
