What the Hell: Ecuador Releases 2024 Copa America Kits, But the Home Will Be Probably Banned in Copa America

Marathon has launched the new Ecuador National Team shirts for 2024 and 2025. They are set to be worn during the Copa América and the World Cup Qualifiers, but a major change might be needed.

The Marathon Sports Ecuador 2024 football shirt is yellow with a navy diagonal stripe that runs across the shirt from right to left.

FIFA: The front Area and the Back Area of the Shirt must feature the same single Dominant Colour

For the first time in history, the back of an Ecuador kit features a color different from the predominant one, and it is entirely dark blue.

However, the different colors for the front and back are probably banned for Copa America. The official 2024 Copa America rules state that "kits [shall be] in accordance with the FIFA Equipment Regulations." FIFA Equipment Regulations clearly say that "the Front Area and the Back Area of the Shirt must feature the same single Dominant Colour."

The Ecuadorian Football Federation shield is applied on the left side in gold, while the Marathon logo appears on the right side, within the stripe, in yellow of the Ecuador 2024 home football shirt.

The Marathon Sports Ecuador 2024 Copa America away football shirtis predominantly white, with a dark blue horizontal stripe on the belly.

The collar is V-shaped in dark blue and is also seen on the cuffs and on the back of the hem. The crest of the Marathon Sports Ecuador 2024 away jersey is once again applied in gold.
