Dortmund to Define Colors, Logo & More in New Club Codex

At their general meeting on Sunday, German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund approved the introduction of a code that is to be a cornerstone of future decisions.

Borussia Dortmund to Preserve Club Name, Club Colors and Club Logo in Code of Basic Values

The Basic Values Code - A future-oriented values channel for BVB

The new BVB code of basic values is set to include the preservation of the club name, the club colors, and the club logo, among other things.

The new BVB code is now to be drawn up and legally secured in a committee, this was decided with one vote against.

It is not known if there will be rules for the kit(s)

It remains to be seen if the codex will also define the colors of the (home) kit or things like the placement of a logo on a kit. For example, it is not known yet if volt kits without a crest will be still allowed.

In addition, the new BVB Club Codex will include the unreserved commitment to priority participation in a national competition and to Dortmund as the venue for all BVB home matches, the clear commitment to the 50+1 rule, standing room only, and socially acceptable ticket prices, irrespective of the legal requirements of the association.
