Madchester was also the name of a musical and cultural scene that developed in Manchester in the late 1980s, closely associated with the indie-dance scene. The Madchester brand is run by brothers Anthony and Christopher Donnelly, who also own the brand Gio-Goi.

An outstanding look, the second Puma x Madchester Man City 2021-2022 special-edition shirt is predominantly dark green ('thyme') with a Madchester all-over print and bright yellow Puma and MDCR brandings on the front.

The Man City crest is similarly deformed as on the first drop, although applied in a much more understated way here. Rounding off the design, the back features a black number 94.

Similar to last season's BALR edition, the Puma Man City 21-22 'Madchester' jersey will not be worn in official matches.

Puma x Madchester Collection

In addition to the shirt, further items were released as part of a wider Puma x Madchester collection. The Madchester product range includes MCFC x MDCR Graphic and logo tees and MCFC x MDCR crews, hoodies, jackets, shorts, and pants.
