Celtic Announce Record-Breaking New Balance Kit Deal

New Balance will produce the new Celtic 2015-16 Kits. Celtic FC today announced a record-breaking jersey deal with New Balance starting from the 2015-16 season, which allows the global sports giant to produce Celtic's kit for the first time in the history of the company.

Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: "New Balance is one of the world’s leading sportswear manufacturers and will cater for the huge global demand for Celtic kit. Importantly our cultures match well.

"While New Balance is relatively new to football, its sporting heritage dates back over 100 years and there is huge excitement around the brand and its ambitions globally."

New Balance Becomes New Celtic Shirt Supplier

Celtic announced that the new kit deal with New Balance is "potentially the biggest kit deal the club has ever agreed", while no further contract details were disclosed yet.

Richard Wright, General Manager of New Balance Football, said: “We are so excited to be working with Celtic Football Club. The famous green and white hoops are an iconic symbol in football and we can’t wait to collaborate with the club on future ranges of apparel.

"This deal with Celtic will enable New Balance to become synonymous with all that’s great about the Scottish game. We’re dedicated to producing innovative products that the players and fans can wear on the way to creating more cherished memories for this great club.”

Yesterday, it emerged that New Balance and Celtic FC signed a five-year kit deal worth up to £29m over five seasons (£5.8m / season).

New Balance replaces long-term kit supplier Nike, who had been making Celtic's shirts since 2005.

Celtic joins the likes of Liverpool, Porto, Sevilla and Stoke City at New Balance Football, which takes over from its subsidiary Warrior Football this year.

The first New Balance Celtic Football Kits will be revealed in July 2015. Check out the leaked New Balance Liverpool 2015-16 Kits.
