Costa Rica Announces New Balance Kit Deal

Costa Rica becomes the second national football team to wear New Balance Football Kits. Costa Rica reached the quarter-finals of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil when they lost on penalties against Netherlands.

New Balance replaces previous shirt supplier Lotto, who had been Costa Rica's kit supplier since 2007. New Balance had to pay to set Costa Rica free from their contract with the Italian sportswear manufacturer Lotto, whose contract with the Costa Rican national football team was valid until the 2018 World Cup.

New Balance Enters National Football Team Market

The New Balance Costa Rica Kit Deal was officially announced today by the president of the Costa Rican Football Federation, Eduardo Li.

Eduardo Li explained that the New Balance kit deal will mean an improvement in the design of the kits, an increase in income and prestige of the Costa Rica national football team.

"I think those three points win. We are grateful to Lotto because for their support since 2007, but I think New Balance is a company of another level. It is one of the top brands in the United States and is now being expanded globally," said Eduardo Li, President of the Costa Rican Football Federation.

In March 2015, New Balance signed their first ever national football team kit deal with the Panama national football team.

The first New Balance Costa Rica Kits are expected to be revealed in Summer 2015.
