Nike 16-17 La Liga Ball Revealed + New Ball Deal Announced

The new Nike 2016-2017 La Liga Football introduces a spectacular design for the best league in the world, officially released today together with the announcement that the Swoosh and La Liga extended their partnership until at least 2019. The new La Liga 2016 Ball features the LFP logo instead of the Liga BBVA logo after the Spanish bank announced that they will not remain main sponsor for the Spanish 1st and 2nd divisions.

"We are delighted to extend this partnership, which began in the 1996–97 season. Nike is the leading brand in football and is continually innovating through the relationships we hold with the world’s best players, clubs, federations and leagues," states Lorenzo Moretti, Vice President and General Manager of Nike Football in Western Europe.

This is the new Nike 16-17 La Liga Football.

The new Nike Ordem 4 2016-2017 La Liga Ball boasts a spectacular design that draws inspiration from the colors of the Spanish flag. The mainly white La Liga 2016-2017 Ball comes with a unique yellow and black lines graphic pattern that is combined with bold blue applications to create a design that really stands out.

Javier Tebas, President of La Liga declares, "La Liga is in a process of international expansion and partnering with Nike contributes to build our global prestige. It is a strategic partner with which we will work to develop our brand and football in general. We are very satisfied with this agreement."

"We consider La Liga to be the strongest league in the world, with the best clubs and players and it is important that we have an iconic ball," adds Adolfo Bara, La Liga Commercial Director. "Together with Nike we want to support football around the world — using our athletes, experience and resources to assist the development of our sport overseas – including the USA and China."

While the visual design of the new 2016-2017 Primera División is brand-new, the 16-17 La Liga Ball comes with the same technologies as last season's ball. The new Nike 2016-2017 La Liga Ball is made to flight perfectly featuring Nike Aerowtrac grooves and a micro-textured casing.

The new Nike 2016-2017 La Liga Ball is expected to retail at the same price as the previous generation and will be available from July 2016 at selected retailers.

Marking their highly anticipated return to the Cymru South, Welsh side Swansea University FC have officially unveiled their new kits for the upcoming 2026-2027 campaign.

Supplied by Nike through teamwear specialists Direct Soccer, the new release provides the university team with a sharp aesthetic as they prepare for life back in the second tier of the Welsh football pyramid.

The standout of the release is the eye-catching away shirt, which boasts a vibrant mint green base. Neymar to Retain Brazil No. 10 Shirt for 2026 World Cup

The debate over Brazil’s most iconic shirt number has been officially settled ahead of the 2026 World Cup. It has been confirmed that Neymar will retain the famous No. 10 jersey for the upcoming tournament in North America.

Following a lengthy period away from the national team due to injury, questions had naturally arisen regarding the future of the prestigious shirt. During Neymar's prolonged absence, the Brazilian No. 10 was shared among the squad's other attacking stars. Both Vinicius Junior and Raphinha have donned the historic number in recent international fixtures.

Despite their growing influence and status within the Seleção, both players have willingly stepped aside out of respect for the veteran forward. Highlighting the squad's unity on the matter, Vinicius Junior openly addressed the situation, stating clearly that the shirt "obviously belongs to Neymar."

Earlier rumors suggested that Neymar might adopt the No. 13 jersey.

Do you agree with the decision to keep Neymar in the No. 10 shirt, or was it time to pass it on to a younger player like Vinicius Junior? Let us know in the comments below.
