Nike celebrates next week's Rome Derby with a special-edition AS Roma kit. The Roma Derby special jersey combines a traditional, dark red base with classy golden details. It is set to be worn in the derby against Lazio on December 4.
AS Roma 2016-2017 Derby Shirt
This is the special Derby kit made by Nike for Roma's encounter with Lazio.
Once again based on Nike's global template, the AS Roma Derby kit is predominantly dark red. Boasting a sponsor-less look, the Roma 2016 Derby kit features golden Nike and AS Roma badges on the front, while a dark line runs down each side of the shirt and around the rear of the neckline.
A SPQR (Senatus Populusque Romanus, referring to the government of the ancient Roman Republic in Latin) written is present on the back collar of the AS Roma Derby shirt. This initialism is still used as an official emblem of the modern-day municipality of Rome
Founded on 22 July 1927, AS Roma will celebrate its 90th anniversary at the end of next season. The AS Roma Derby kit was released in addition to the Roma home, away and third kits.
