Schweinsteiger Reveals Custom Adidas X Boots
German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is set to debut a customized version of the new Adidas X 15 Leather Soccer Cleats in tomorrow's friendly against United States.
Update 10/06/2015: Close-up pictures of the Adidas Schweinsteiger Boots reveal more details (thanks to Nico Satria Pratama). In fact, Bastian Schweinsteiger is wearing an Adidas F50 Adizero Leather Boot which features just the visual design of the Adidas X 15.
In fact, Bastian Schweinsteiger had been previously wearing the Adidas F50 Adizero 2014 Cleats for several month, while he didn't switch to the 2015 Adidas F50 Adizero Boots. It now looks like that Schweinsteiger will sport a customized version of the new Adidas X 15 Leather Boots.

The Solar Yellow Adidas x 15 Bastian Schweinsteiger Cleats boast the design of totally new Adidas X 15 Cleats, while featuring various custom modifications for the Bayern Munich legend.
The Adidas X 15 Bastian Schweinsteiger Cleats feature a Kangaroo leather upper in the touch area as Bastian Schweinsteiger prefers a leather upper to synthetic materials. While the regular version of the Adidas X 15.1 Leather Boots just features Kangaroo leather in the forefoot area, the custom Adidas X Schweinsteiger is almost entirely made from leather.
Naturally very noticeable is the sole plate of Bastian Schweinsteiger's Adidas X 2015-2016 Boots. The modified Adidas Schweinsteiger Boots feature the Sprintframe sole plate of the 2014 Adidas F50 Adizero Boots. Therefore, the Adidas Performance logo the heel area is far smaller than usual.
The Serbian flag and the Serbian lettering "dušo" (that translates to dušo) are printed on the upper of the new Schweinsteiger Boots, a nod to his girlfriend and tennis player Ana Ivanovic.
It's a good sign for Adidas that their players switch to the new Adidas 2015-2016 Boots, albeit receiving customized boots. We are curious to see if players such as Toni Kroos will switch to the Adidas Ace Leather Boots, or will continue to wear his beloved white Adidas Adipure 11pro 2014 Boots.
Watch out for Schweinsteiger's boots in the friendly against United States on June 10.

FIFA Denies Guillermo Ochoa 2026 World Cup Legacy Patch Over Appearance Rules
Guillermo Ochoa has been denied the chance to wear FIFA's new legacy patch at the 2026 World Cup. Despite being selected for six World Cup tournaments spanning from 2006 to 2026, the Mexican goalkeeper does not meet the strict criteria set by FIFA. The governing body requires players to have made on-pitch appearances in at least five different World Cups to qualify for the special badge.
Ochoa did not play any minutes during the 2006 and 2010 tournaments, meaning he has only registered on-pitch appearances in three World Cups prior to the 2026 edition. Because of this, FIFA officially refused to award him the patch. Other veterans playing in the tournament, such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric, Manuel Neuer, and Yuto Nagatomo, have received the legacy patch for meeting the five-tournament appearance threshold.
The Mexican Football Federation is reportedly planning to push for a reconsideration of the ruling. If Ochoa features in a match during the 2026 tournament, the federation intends to appeal FIFA's decision in hopes of securing the legacy patch for the veteran goalkeeper.
