Totally New Puma evoTOUCH 2016-2017 Boots Released

The all-new Puma evoTOUCH 2016-2017 Football Boots are the first-ever high-cut boot from Puma, officially released today for the start of the 2016-17 season. Made for ultimate ball control, the Puma evoTOUCH 2016 Soccer Cleats combine a Kangaroo Leather upper with the high-cut collar concept that was introduced by Nike ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

Headlined by Chelsea's Cesc Fàbregas and Paris Saint-Germain's Marco Verratti, the all-new Puma evoTOUCH are Puma's fourth top-tier silo, joining the Puma evoPOWER (Power), Puma evoSPEED (Speed) and Puma King (Modern Heritage - no 'superstar' on-pitch support).

PUMA's Spanish midfield maestro Cesc Fàbregas said; "PUMA evoTOUCH is a great boot for my style of play, the connection and touch with the ball is very impressive which is important for maximum control on the ball. I’m impressed with the boot from the testing I have done and looking forward to getting back on-pitch and kicking of the new season with evoTOUCH."

Puma evoTOUCH PRO Black / White / Safety Yellow

This is the launch paint job of the all-new Puma evoTOUCH Cleats.

Using the classic main color black for the K-leather upper and eye-catching 'Safety Yellow' for the brand-new sock-like design, the launch colorway of the Puma evoTOUCH 2016-2017 Boots is designed to mirror the concept of the boot. That is is to merge a Kangaroo leather upper (traditional) with a high-angle collar and no tongue (cutting-edge).

Whereas the Puma evoSPEED Boot boasts a striking Puma writing on the instep, the Puma evoTOUCH 2016-2017 Soccer Cleat comes with the classic branding of Puma football boots on the instep and the outstep. On the 'tongue' of the boots is the evoTOUCH branding, while a triangular pattern seen amongst others on the heel tab is the new distinctive mark of the silo. But now let's get into the tech details of the Puma evoTOUCH 2016-2017 Boots.

The Puma evoTOUCH PRO 2016 Boots combine a 'K-Touch' upper with an all-new 'evoKNIT' sock to 'mark a revolution in the field of leather football boots'. However, the whole concept is actually almost identical to the one of the Nike Magista Obra K-Leather Tech Craft Pack Boots.

The soft premium and ultra-thin Kangaroo leather upper (0.9 mm thin) offers ultimate ball control, combined with the new evoKNIT sock for a barefoot like feel and comfort. Most remarkably, Puma introduces GripTex for the inner sole and the heel tape. What's the aim of GripTex in these areas?

The internal GripTex technology is designed to ensure optimal grip and avoid slipping inside the shoe (This is actually almost identical to the concept of TruSox). Thanks to the evoKNIT sock 360° approach, the Puma evoTOUCH PRO Boots can be also worn barefoot.

The lightweight TPU outsole of the Puma evoTOUCH 2016 Boot features conical studs for rotational agility and SpeedTrack spine for enhanced reactivity and torsional stability.

The Puma evoSPEED Pro Football Boots weigh in at exactly 212 gram, which makes them about as heavy as the Nike Magista Obra Leather Boot. The best version of the Puma evoTOUCH will be called 'Puma evoTOUCH Pro', while the lower-tier models will be called Puma evoTOUCH 1, evoTOUCH 2 and evoTOUCH 3.

The Black, White and Safety Yellow Puma evoTOUCH 2016 Soccer Boots retail at a price of 250 Euro (250 USD, 185 GBP).

Portuguesa 2026 Third Kit Released - Tribute to Portugal Ahead of 2026 World Cup

Brazilian club Associação Portuguesa de Desportos, commonly known as Portuguesa, has officially launched its new third kit for the 2026 season. Produced by technical sponsor Joma, the new uniform pays direct homage to the Portuguese national team, celebrating the club's deep historical roots as Portugal prepares to compete in the upcoming 2026 World Cup.

The new Portuguesa 2026 third jersey closely mirrors the classic look of the Portuguese national team, featuring a vibrant crimson red base enhanced by subtle jacquard detailing that provides a sense of movement to the fabric. The shirt is structured with a classic polo collar adorned with red and white edging and a green front point insert. The sleeves remain red with contrasting green underarm panels, while the cuffs match the collar's red and white trim.

Further solidifying the international tribute, the official coat of arms of Portugal is prominently displayed on the nape of the neck above the white player numbering. The alternative uniform is completed by green shorts and red socks, finalizing the classic Portuguese color scheme.

The kit is set to make its on-pitch debut this Saturday, May 16th, in a match against Água Santa.
