All-New Adidas X 2016 SL Boots Revealed
Introducing the totally new Adidas X SL. The Adidas X 15 SL Soccer Cleat is a ultra-lightweight version of the Adidas X boot. The Adidas X 15+ SL was launched today and will go on sale on April 1, 2016.
Set to be worn by the likes of Thomas Müller and Luis Suarez, Real Madrid superstar Karim Benzema already laced up in the new Adidas X 15+ model in last weekend's La Liga clash against Sevilla.
Adidas X 15+ SL - White / Semi Solar Slime / Shock Blue / Black
This is the release colorway of the Adidas X SL 2016 Football Boot.
Featuring the same colors as the white Adidas X 15 Boots that were already unveiled, the launch colorway of the Adidas X SL Boots combines the main color white with black, light green and blue. However, while the colors of the boots may be the same, there are already various design differences between the traditional version of the boots and the all-new Adidas X SL.
While the regular editions of the Adidas X 15 Boots come with a completely white upper, the Adidas X 15+ SL Soccer is black in the rear area of the boots. The Adidas X 15+ SL also has a remarkable X-Cage that is designed to look similar to carbon-fibre. Thee cleat boasts shimmering blue studs and a metallic X logo on the tongue.
The Adidas X 15+ SL comes with a synthetic material in the heel area that is made for lightweight, a sock-like fit and stability and features a tongue-less design, just as the Adidas X Primeknit Boots. The boot also has the same sole plate as all other high-end versions of the Adidas X.
The complete front part of the Adidas X 15+ SL is made of a microfiber material. Adidas added a ultra-thin synthetic layer on top of it for a cleaner and more responsive surface, while the X-Cage area was kept 'open' to show the underlying texture.
The Adidas X 15+ will hit stores on 1 April 2016 for 250 USD (250 Euro, 200 GBP). It is set to be worn by some of Adidas' most high-profile players such as Karim Benzema, Thomas Müller and Luis Suarez.
