Leicester City 16-17 Away Kit Released

The new Leicester City 16-17 away kit introduces a striking design in red, after last season's Leicester City away shirt boasted an understated look in black and golden. After the club teased it for a few days, the Leicester City 2016-17 away shirt was launched on the morning of May 30.

Based on the same template as the Austria Euro 2016 kit, the new Leicester City away shirt features a bold gradient on the front, fading from dark at the top towards light at the bottom. The lighter shade of red is also used for the collar of the Leicester City 16-17 away kit, as well as a single stripe that runs down each sleeve.

Following the club's unlikely Premier League win, the new Leicester City 16-17 away shirt bears the redesigned Premier League winners' badge on both sleeves. The Puma logo sits on the right chest of the Leicester City 2016-2017 away jersey, opposite of the club crest, while the logo of main sponsor King Power is placed below.

Red shorts and socks complete the fiery look of the new Leicester away kit.

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan said of the new away kit: “The kit looks fantastic - it’s a great design that I’m sure the fans will love. When you're on the way to an away game and you see the fans out in force, decked out in their colours, it’s a brilliant feeling. It always feels like we’re in it together.”
