LEAKED: Nike To Bring Back Classic Geo Merlin Ball Name + Design? For 2018-19 Season
Adidas brought back the iconic design and the name of the Adidas Telstar football with the 2018 World Cup ball, and now we can exclusively reveal that Nike will also bring back an icon to life again with their upcoming ball for 2018 onwards.
Nike 2018-19 Premier League, La Liga and Serie A to Be Called Merlin
The new Nike 18-19 Premier League football will be called 'Nike Premier League Merlin'.
After the past four Nike Premier League, La Liga and Serie A balls have been based on the Nike Ordem football that was launched in late 2013 (they were named Nike Ordem 2, Nike Ordem 3, Nike Ordem 4 & Nike Ordem 5), the new Nike 2018-2019 Premier League, La Liga and Serie A footballs will enter a new chapter for Nike footballs.
The new Nike Premier League 18-19 ball will be called Nike Premier League Merlin, the La Liga ball will be known as 'Nike La Liga Merlin' and the Serie A ball 'Nike Serie A Merlin'. Nike Geo Merlin has been the name of the official match ball of the English Premier League seasons between 2000-2004. It was the first-ever Premier League ball made by Nike who took over from Mitre in 2000.
It is also almost certain that Nike's 2018-19 ball will be no more based on the Nike Ordem but will come with new technologies and a new panel shape. There is no detailed tech info about the new Nike Merlin 2018-2019 soccer ball yet, however.

Harrogate Town 26-27 Home Kit Released
Harrogate Town has officially revealed its new home kit for the 2026-2027 season. Produced by technical sponsor New Balance, the latest primary strip offers a bold and modern twist on the club's traditional yellow and black colors. Following the recent reveal of their striking geometric away jersey, this home release confirms that New Balance is committed to delivering highly bespoke and eye-catching designs for the North Yorkshire side's upcoming campaign.
The New Balance Harrogate Town 26-27 home shirt features a vibrant yellow base, anchored by thick black vertical stripes across the front of the torso. However, instead of traditional solid bands, these stripes are executed with a modern, pixelated halftone gradient effect that fades heavily around the midsection to seamlessly accommodate the black "envirovent" sponsor logo. To ensure a cohesive and sharp aesthetic, the New Balance manufacturer logo and the official club crest are both applied in a sleek black and yellow monochrome finish.
The launch completes the team's set for 2026-2027.
