Jako to Become VfB Stuttgart Kit Maker?
It is possible that German sportswear brand Jako will become VfB Stuttgart's new kit supplier from 2019. Stuttgart has been wearing Puma kits since 2002.
Jako Wants to Become Stuttgart Kit Maker
VfB Stuttgart's contract with Puma will expire in Summer 2019, and it is very uncertain if Puma wants to renew the contract with the German club as they recently signed a lot of new teams such as Milan & Olympique Marseille.
According to information from German newspaper Stuttgarter Zeitung, Jako and Stuttgart already talked about a possible kit deal.
"VfB Stuttgart is the sporting flagship of the region and as the largest sports club firmly anchored in Baden-Württemberg," said Jako founder and CEO Rudi Sprügel in an interview with the Stuttgarter Zeitung. "We want to invest more in our home region and in this context VfB is an absolutely interesting candidate."
Jako currently makes the jerseys for German Bundesliga clubs Bayer Leverkusen & Hannover 96.
