Köln Achieves Record-Breaking Kit Sales With 7 Different Kits + Leaked 18-19 Kits From New Kit Maker
German club 1. FC Köln has been relegated to the 2. Bundesliga in the 2017-18 season. However, in terms of merchandising income, the season was a success as the club sold more kits than ever in their history.
Koln wore seven different player shirts in the 2017-2018 season (home, away, third, Europa League, 70th anniversary & two black fourth kits). Six of the seven shirts were available to buy (a one-off black kit was not available to purchase [the club later decided to design a new black kit that was worn in one match and sold in their shop].
Köln Sales More Than 70,000 Kits With 7 Different Kits
Köln sold more than 70,000 jerseys in the 2017-18 season, more than 20,000 more than in the previous year - the 50,000 jerseys from the 16/17 season had already set the new record for the FC.
In total, Köln wore seven different kits in their 43 official matches.
However, next season's 1. FC Köln's kits will be not made by Erima anymore as Uhlsport outbid the previous kit supplier.
