Confirmed: Authentic Adidas Manchester United 18-19 Third Kit Features Replica Kit Technology
The new Adidas Manchester United 2018-2019 third kit has been released today. However, made in collaboration with Parley from recycled ocean plastic, the authentic version of next season's Adidas Man Utd 2018-19 third jersey is partly a Replica.
Bots kits are created with yarn made in collaboration with Parley for the Oceans: Some of the yarn features Parley Ocean Plastic™, which is made from recycled waste, intercepted from beaches and coastal communities before it reaches the ocean. The difference between both jerseys is only the fit.
The authentic jersey is a one-to-one version of what players wear and is slim through the shoulders and body, while the replica jersey is a streetwear version of what players wear on match day and is wider in the shoulders and body.
Because of Parley? Authentic Adidas Man Utd 18-19 Third Kit Features Replica Climalite Kit Technology
Close-up with the authentic and replica Adidas Man Utd 2018-19 third kits.
Created in collaboration with Parley (made from recycled ocean plastic), the authentic Adidas Manchester United 2018-2019 third comes with the Adidas Climalite technology that is usually only used for the replica (fans) version of Adidas' football kits. In fact, the relatively cheap Adidas Manchester United 18-19 third replica jersey features the same fabric (material) as the expensive Adidas Manchester United 18-19 third authentic jersey.
Usually, Adidas' authentic kits feature the brand's new Climachill technology that was introduced for the 2018 World Cup jerseys. The Adidas Climalite material is much lighter and offers better breathability as the Climachill material.
The reason for Adidas using not their best kit technology for their kit seems to be that the brand is not able yet to produce a Climachill jersey made from recycled ocean plastic in collaboration with Parley.
Apart from the material used for the fabric of the jersey, the authentic Manchester United comes with all features of the regular player's version kit such as heat-printed logos and plastic Three Stripes for less weight.
