Nike Creates Calf Leather Tiempo Legend to Circumvent California K-Leather Ban

Update: US soccer cleats expert Bryan from Soccer Cleats 101 has shared two images of the Nike Tiempo Legend VII Ca Edition, with one comparing the calf leather version directly with the k-leather version.

A while ago, the state of California legislature passed a law that rendered the import of footwear made out of kangaroo leather illegal.

To circumvent this and allow California Swoosh heads to get their hands on the Tiempo Legend, Nike has launched a brand-new version of the Tiempo Legend 7 Elite, with the kangaroo leather being replaced by its calf equivalent.

This creates a very similar boot that is legal to buy in California. Based on the 'Stealth Ops' colorway, the Nike Tiempo Legend 7 calf leather boots are available to buy at Soccer.com, the USA's largest football retailer, right now.
