Dortmund Chief Watzke Slams Bayern München For Mint Green Kits

Borussia Dortmund managing director Watzke has attacked rivals Bayern Munich for their mint green away kits at this year's general meeting of Borussia Dortmund that took place on Sunday.

"BVB Still Plays With Black and Yellow Kits Away From Home"

In his 28-minute speech, Watzke made a side blow at FC Bayern Munich. When it came to the club colours black and yellow, Watzke said: "I am very proud of the fact that BVB still plays in black and yellow away. If, on the other hand, he saw the "horror colours" with which other teams were playing away, he would be "shaken". If I imagine Borussia Dortmund would run up in a mint or something - that would give me a nausea," Watzke said flatteringly, referring to FC Bayern, whose are wearing a mint-coloured away jersey this season.

However, Watzke's attack became a day before Bayern Munich announced that their home kits would be red and white only in the future. Bayern München's away and third jerseys will still feature other, and also 'random' colors.

Borussia Dortmund is famous for wearing their yellow and black kit whenever it is possible, in home matches as well as in away games.
