Sergio Romero's Different Unique Custom Goalkeeper Gloves - Closer Look
If you watched Manchester United's Fourth Round FA Cup victory away against Arsenal one week ago, you surely have noticed that Manchester United keeper Sergio Romero was wearing unique gloves. We take a cloder look at them.
Closer Look | Sergio Romero 2019 Goalkeeper Gloves
Sergio Romero's gloves do not feature the logo of a common goalkeeper gloves brand but his initials SR with a black crown. The letters EJCM are printed on the strap. The gloves themselves are white and black only.
Tech-wise, the Sergio Romero goalkeeper gloves look like traditional goalkeeper gloves with much protection and foam. It is not known who made the gloves / if they are made by a well-known brand.
It is nothing new that Sergio Romero is using custom bespoke goalkeeper gloves. He already wore several different pairs of custom goalkeeper gloves in the past.
He used an Argentina-schemed version as well as a yellow version of the gloves. Around two years ago, he used a stylish white and golden gloves, inspired by the design of Ronaldinho's signature boots.
If we look at his boots, Sergio Romero is using no special cleats but the regular low-cut Nike Hypervenom Phantom III. Last season, he laced up in Adidas Predator 18.1 football boots.

Bukayo Saka and Yan Diomande Debut Whiteout New Balance Furon V9 Boots
Arsenal talisman Bukayo Saka and Real Madrid signing Yan Diomande have both taken to the pitch wearing all-white New Balance Furon V9 boots at the start of the 26-27 campaign. Thanks to @volkyfootballboots.v2 for spotting.
As two of the primary headline athletes for New Balance's flagship speed silo, their synchronized switch away from standard on-pitch colorways to a whiteout look points toward an upcoming limited-edition pack or special release from the American brand in the near future.
It’s normal that brands hide their new flagship-shoes with a whiteout colorway until their release takes place officially, so competitors can’t already get an early glimpse into their newest design.
