According to well-informed Barcelona-based newspaper Sport, FC Barcelona leaders have been surprised by the success of the new chequered jersey, whose sales are far exceeding expectations. The sales figures are higher than those initially planned in the official stores. In fact, 32 percent more equipment is being shipped than planned, even though expectations were already high.

There is no information yet how many shirts FC Barcelona sold in the first few weeks since the launch. Usually, FC Barcelona is selling around 2 million kits per season.
