What If: Nike Bayern Munich & Manchester City 19-20 Third Kit Concepts

Nike's third kits are certainly the highlight of the 2019-20 season. This is probably no news to you - no less than four of them made our reader-voted Top 10 list, after all.

Inspired by the success of the Nike 19-20 third kits, we've decided to dish out ones for two clubs that didn't enjoy the treatment: Manchester City, who narrowly missed out after signing with Puma, and Bayern Munich, a club we likely won't see in Nike for quite some time. The German champions are under contract with Adidas until 2030.

Bayern Munich

Following Nike's example, we based our Bayern concept on one of the club's most iconic 1990s alternative shirts. The gold, black and green 93-94 away shirt was used for a total of three seasons, until 1996 and features one of the craziest football shirt colorways of all time.

We chose the Atlético / Chelsea template for this. A subtle Bavaria-inspired print covers the front and sleeves. Rounding off the smart look if a black-gold-green club badge on the left chest.

Manchester City

For the Manchester City shirt, we were inspired by an underrated classic: the 1990-92 away shirt by Umbro. We went for the template Nike used for the Barcelona and Roma shirts.

The jersey is dark red with a classic collar and white logos. The collar and cuffs feature white and sky blue, a clean match for the red base.
