11 Nike AS Roma x Nigeria 2020 Concept Kits
Just a few time ago, Nike released the new Nigeria 2020 home and away kits. Shortly after the reveal, Italian Serie A club AS Roma asked designers to create AS Roma concepts with the design of the new Nike Nigeria 2020 jersey. Below is the result, created by designers @GusCamisetas, Forza27 and @rupertalbe.
Nike AS Roma x Nigeria 2020 Jersey Concepts
The Nigeria 2020 kit is a mix of the traditional aesthetic of an agbada robe with modern football design. The kit’s pattern was hand drawn and is highly symbolic of Nigerian heritage with nods to nobility and family - Therefore, the AS Roma Nigeria shirts have a quite heavy Nigerian feel to them.
The designers added some symbols of Roma to the kit, including sublimated logos of the club (Rupertgraphic) or some inscriptions. However, even if some boast the colors of Roma, they just look not completely right for Roma, at least for us.
GusCamisetas created five different versions of his Nigeria x AS Roma 2020 design (Home, Away, Champions League & Goalkeeper), while rupertalbe and Forza27 made three versions of their concept.
