No BLM & NHS Badges: Manchester United 'Black Lives Matter' Kit Printing Launched - Proceeds To Be Donated

Manchester United has launched a special ‘Black Lives Matter’ shirt printing for thier 2019-2020 Adidas home shirt.

Manchester United's players will wear shirts with ‘Black Lives Matter’ printed on the back in place of their names for United’s first game of the restarted season at Tottenham Hotspur on Friday.

Manchester United is juts offering their current 2019-20 home kit with Black Lives Matter on the back. Unfortunately, the special Manchester Utd kits come without the Black Lives Matter sleeve badge and the NHS badge on the front.

Fans who want the message printed on their own shirt via United Direct, or at the Old Trafford Megastore, will have their £10 payments donated to Kick It Out.

Richard Arnold, Manchester United managing director, commented: “Manchester United has a long-standing commitment against racism and discrimination, both through our own campaigns and through support of external organisations working in this area. We wanted to take this from being a valuable message of support to real tangible help for the essential work that Kick It Out do in this area.”

Sanjay Bhandari, Chair of Kick it Out, said: “We are incredibly grateful for this support from Manchester United. There remains much to be done to combat discrimination and promote inclusion in football but we know that with the help of United and others, we can make progress.”

The 'Black Lives Matter' shirts are now available to order online from United Direct. The club will donate all the shirt-printing proceeds, if fans choose to have ‘Black Lives Matter’ on their United shirts, to anti-racism organisation Kick it Out.
