The Norwegian national football team has released a Viking-inspired group photograph via its official channels to mark preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Captured by renowned photographer David Yarrow in Oslo, the image shows the squad in authentic attire assembled beside a fjord, with longboats in the background, reflecting the country's historical narrative and the supporters' Viking row tradition.
Norway returns to the World Cup for the first time since 1998, led by captain Martin Ødegaard and star striker Erling Haaland. The photoshoot took place last weekend, with Ødegaard digitally added after he was unavailable due to the Champions League final. The NFF embraced the theme to highlight team unity and cultural heritage as the squad prepares for the tournament in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
