Scottish Fotball Leagues Agree Deal With Cinch - To Become Cinch Premiership Next Season
The UK's online used car marketplace will be SPFL title sponsor from the 21-22 season.
SPFL SIGNS LARGEST-EVER SPONSORSHIP
The deal will represent the largest title sponsorship deal in the SPFL’s history. It lasts for five years and spans across all four divisions of the Scottish football league.
Scotland’s professional football leagues will be known as the Cinch Premiership, Cinch Championship, Cinch League 1 and Cinch League 2. Cinch will also become the League’s Official Car Partner, with the company’s logo incorporated into the League’s composite logo which appears on every player’s sleeve.
SPFL chief executive, Neil Doncaster, said: “This is an enormously significant partnership for our member clubs, and for Scottish football as a whole. Our discussions with cinch have been extremely positive and the duration of the sponsorship agreement demonstrates their long-term commitment to Scottish football.
“Despite the economic situation and the challenging nature of the global sponsorship industry generally, this is the largest-ever sponsorship in the SPFL era. It’s a ringing endorsement of the enduring popularity of Scottish football, not only north of the border but right around the world.
Robert Bridge, Cinch Chief Customer Officer, commented: “We are delighted to support the SPFL and welcome them to our high-profile family of sports sponsorships. It’s another great win for cinch that will play such an important role in putting us and our customers at the centre of some fantastic sporting moments.

Adidas Teases Predator 1994 to 2026 World Cup Connection
Adidas has officially teased a connection between the original 1994 Predator boot and the upcoming 2026 World Cup. In a recent social media update, the brand highlighted the legacy of the iconic Predator silo, which was initially launched for the 1994 tournament hosted in the USA.
With the 2026 World Cup set to be co-hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada, Adidas is celebrating this 32-year journey as a full-circle moment for the boot. The brand noted that the Predator was made for the 1994 World Cup, and the tournament made the boot a legend. By stating that the road to glory continues, Adidas strongly suggests the upcoming release of special edition boots or a dedicated 2026 World Cup Predator model that pays homage to the 1994 original.
The teaser was accompanied by images showcasing the evolution of the Predator boot from its debut to its modern iteration. This announcement builds on recent Predator re-releases and limited editions, generating anticipation for what Adidas has planned for the 2026 tournament.
