Interesting Japan Logo Spotted - Here's What It's All About

A few days ago, a follower of ours sent us a picture showing an interesting Japan logo.

They didn't know what exactly this logo was and neither did we, so we started investigating.

The logo, which was visible on a training jacket worn by one of the coaches for a photo shoot of the U20 futsal team, has a clear similarity with the current JFA logo, which was unveiled in 2017.

But despite that, we did not find a direct reference to it in the promotional material of the rebrand from five years ago, which did include many variants of the logo for different departments of the association.

Some of our team even thought we could be looking at a Japan logo, but in general, we still believed it to be a variant of the current logo, perhaps a futsal-related one.

JFA Technical Development Programme Logo

In the end, we decided to try our Twitter followers and within just a few minutes, @Rogertherabbi13 came up with the solution. The logo visible on the picture is for the "JFA Technical Development Programme" and is in use on the JFA official website.

The JFA Technical Development logo is used for gear of the Japanese Football Association such as jackets, jerseys, and pants.
