Inter Milan 22-23 Home Kit Features Horrific Placement of Coppa Italia Winners Badge
The new Nike Inter Milan 2022-2023 home jersey features an odd placement for the official Coppa Italia winners badge, the Coccarda.
Inter could have placed it in the center but possibly avoided it because of Milan's title
In Italy, the winner of the national cup (Coppa Italia) have granted the right to wear the "Coccarda" in the next season. The Coccarda (rosette) is a roundel badge in Italy's famous Tricolor.
Inter Milan 2022-2023 Home Kit - Coccarda Placement
The Coccarda is placed on the top right. However, is not placed symmetrically above the Swoosh but offset. The season for the odd placement is likely the template with the turtle neck collar.
We created two fixes for the placement of the Coccarda. One symmetrically above the Swoosh, the other in the center.
In fact, the official Serie A Equipment regulations do not dictate the placement of of the Coccarda and the Scudetto (Serie A winners badge). Teams are allowed to place both anywhere on the kit, also in the center.
Inter possibly opted against placing the badge in the center to avoid confusion with the Scudetto (Serie A winners badge) that is traditionally placed in the center.
In the years in that Juventus won both the Serie A and Coppa Italia, they placed one badge above the Adidas logo and the other above the crest.
In the 2022-2023 season, Milan will wear the Scudetto in the center as the reigning champions.
Should Inter have placed the rosette in the center of the kit? Comment below.
