Signed Everton Space-Themed Hummel Shirts Auctioned

Everton and their technical sponsor, Hummel, have made four limited edition space-themed shirts that managed to travel near space. They are up for auction.

Hummel eventually brought the design to life as part of Everton Free School's 10th anniversary.

The special shirts were originally designed by the Toffees' Football College student, Ethan. The Merseyside club's technical sponsor, Hummel eventually brought the design to life as part of Everton Free School's 10th anniversary.

The Danish sportswear brand made four limited edition jerseys based on Ethan's design and launched them near space in a weather balloon, traveling up to 30km in altitude.

That event happened back on September 23, 2022, and now those four shirts are made available through an auction.

The Limited Edition Shirts Are Signed by Everton Men's and Women Team

Making them more special, the limited-edition shirts also have the autograph from Everton's men and women players. Unfortunately, the men's and women's teams are only signing two different shirts.

So those looking to collect signatures from both the men's and women's teams must bid for at least two shirts.

In terms of design, the special shirts have a black and white color combination with an interesting drawing of how the Earth looks from space.

Despite not being an official match kit, the limited-edition shirt also has the club's badge on the left and Hummel's logo on the right side.

Those who are getting the shirt will also receive a certificate of authenticity from the club.

The auction for all four shirts started on January 11 and is set to end on February 10. The whole auction process is being handled by NCM Auctions and the starting bid is 50 GBP.

What do you think about Everton's limited edition shirt? Would you bid for it? Share your opinion below.

Puma Kits Keep Ripping at the 2026 World Cup

Puma is facing significant criticism at the 2026 World Cup as multiple national team jerseys have easily ripped during matches.

Incidents involving players from Czechia, Morocco, Egypt, and Paraguay have highlighted an ongoing durability issue with the brand's latest kits - every torn shirt in the tournament so far belongs to a Puma-sponsored team.

The Puma 2026 World Cup kits incorporate the latest version of PUMA's ULTRAWEAVE “Thermoadapt” technology, which obviously is not tear-resistant enough.

The recurring wardrobe malfunctions have resulted in terrible PR for the German sportswear manufacturer and even prompted the viral resurgence of Xherdan Shaqiri's infamous quote from Euro 2016, where he joked that he hopes Puma does not produce condoms.

Special Commemorative Patches for 1000th FIFA World Cup Match

To mark a significant milestone in football history, special commemorative patches were featured during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group F match between Tunisia and Japan in Monterrey. The fixture officially marked the 1000th match in the history of the tournament.

In recognition of the occasion, both the Japan and Tunisia national teams wore mini Match 1000 arm patches on their jerseys. The special detailing was spotted on the players' kits during the game, as well as on the shirts laid out in the dressing rooms beforehand.

The commemorative design was not limited to the competing teams, as the match officials also wore the Match 1000 patch on their referee kits. This subtle yet historic addition provided a unique touch to the kits for the milestone game.
