Extremely Limited 400€ Bayern Originals Training Suit Angers Fans

FC Bayern have recently received massive backlash on Twitter and other social media platforms from their own fans for a new product in their online store.

In collaboration with technical sponsor Adidas, the club released a retro-style training suit as part of the Adidas Originals line.

Only 115 Adidas Originals Training Suits Available

Sold at a whopping 399.95€, Bayern's new retro-style training suit, now sold out, was only available to buy once per customer. This is because a mere 115 items were made available, with the jacket and pants coming in one package.

The price and limited nature of the product riled up fans, who for the most part found the price tag amusing and out of touch.

The fact that anyone who bought it on the 27th, Bayern's 123rd anniversary, would receive a free scarf did not improve matters.

Consisting of 52% cotton and 48% polyester, the Adidas Originals training suit is marked as sustainable, which, along with it being produced in Germany explains the high price. Beyond this, the product boasts very high quality and a stylish retro appearance.

We can certainly see the appeal for such what is essentially a standard, older looking jogging suit with Adidas and Bayern branding on it. However, when compared to the price of the club's other full training suits (140€-150€), the Adidas Originals version falls short of the average fan's expectations.
